The Pensions Archive Trust Launches The 2020 Vision National Schools Award

Posted: 14 October 2009

The Pensions Archive Trust are pleased to announce the launch of the 2020 Vision National Schools Award, with sponsorship from Capita Hartshead and supported by London Metropolitan Archives.

The competition provides an excellent opportunity for students studying Economics, Business Studies and related subjects to present new and exciting ideas about how people can save and invest their money to enjoy a better future when they retire.

Entries can be from individuals or groups of up to 4 people and need to be made through a school or college.

A First Prize of £200 plus £250 for the entrants’ school is on offer, with £100 in vouchers for runners up. Entries will be judged by a panel which will include representatives of The Pensions Archive Trust, Capita Hartshead and London Metropolitan Archives.

Speaking on the award, Chairman of the Pensions Archive Trust Alan Herbert said:

“The aim is to help improve the public’s knowledge of pensions.   It is felt that if the topic is tackled in schools future generations will become more knowledgeable on making provision for their retirement.”

Details of the competition, an electronic version of the entry pack and supporting documents to help get entries started can be found on the Pensions Archive website at the following address;
