The Pensions Archive Trust (PAT) collects material which is as broad-based as possible, to satisfy the requirements of all types of potential users. We hold the following types of material:-
• Trust Deeds and Rules.
• Minutes, reports and other policy documents.
• Annual accounts
• Member ledgers
• Booklets and other scheme communications material.
• Member newsletters.
• Audio visual – photographs and promotional videos
• Statutes and Government regulations.
• Guidance notes, codes and standards of practice.
• Books, magazines and trade directories.
• Reports to Governments (e.g. Pickering, Goode and Sandler).
• Research Papers.
• Conference reports
• Demographic (including Census returns).
• Life expectancy, mortality and morbidity.
• Investment performance and portfolio structure.
• Survey returns (e.g. Schemes, The National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) etc.).
As well as printed material, PAT is also willing to collect electronically-born material. The preservation and storage of this are kept in line with LMA's Digital Preservation Policy. Material collected in digital format will also be made available to potential users in the reading rooms at LMA.
Among The Pensions Archive collections now held at LMA are those of The National Association of Pension Funds, the late George Ross Goobey and of a number of other pension professionals. Collections of items which are held in the archives are detailed below in alphabetical order;
